Regis Aruba Murder-Suicide – Fatalities: Unidentified Pair Passed Away at St. Regis Aruba Resort in Noord, Aruba
Numerous law enforcement organizations are attending to a grave situation that was reported on Sunday at a luxury five-star resort in Aruba, where a married couple was found deceased in what officials are looking into as a potential murder-suicide.
Initial reports indicate that police and several ambulance crews were sent to The St. Regis Aruba Resort, situated at J.E. Irausquin Blvd. 75 E, following an alert about an individual who had leaped from an upper level of the establishment. Upon their arrival, officers discovered an adult male who had died on the spot after falling from the 12th floor. Authorities confirmed that the man died from his injuries upon impact with the ground.
Investigators then searched the hotel room of the couple, where they found the corpse of an adult female. Police stated that she had suffered visible gunshot wounds. No further injuries have been reported, and there are currently no indications of other suspects being involved.
Officials mentioned that the couple had checked into the resort for their honeymoon after getting married earlier that weekend. Their names have not yet been disclosed, as authorities are awaiting notification to their next of kin.
As a safety measure, investigating officers closed the resort’s swimming pool area and limited access to sections of the property linked to the occurrence. Guests were requested to steer clear of the affected zones while the inquiry is ongoing.
Law enforcement personnel remain at the location and have mentioned that the matter is under active investigation. More information is anticipated to be released as the investigation progresses.
