In Phoenix and Glendale, Arizona, authorities are investigating a devastating series of connected shootings that ended in a murder-suicide and left two young children dead, as police continue working to understand how a domestic dispute escalated into violence across multiple locations over the weekend.
Police identified the woman at the center of the case as 38-year-old Andrea Clarice Davis. According to investigators, the events began late Sunday night outside Tailgaters Sports Bar & Grill near 59th Avenue and Bell Road in Glendale, where an argument tied to a domestic relationship reportedly escalated into gunfire and triggered a large law enforcement response.
Glendale police said Davis allegedly opened fire outside the bar, striking another woman who was later transported to a hospital with serious injuries, while also allegedly firing at her husband and another individual before fleeing the scene in a gray SUV. Investigators described the incident as rapidly unfolding and chaotic, with multiple people inside and outside the bar witnessing parts of the confrontation.
Shortly after the bar shooting, authorities say Davis traveled to a home in Phoenix near 47th Avenue and Bell Road, where her two children—a 10-year-old boy and an 18-month-old girl—were later found dead from apparent gunshot wounds. Police confirmed that Davis was also found deceased at the residence, and investigators are treating the case as a murder-suicide.
Phoenix police said the situation came to light after Davis’s husband received urgent text messages warning that the children were in danger. One message reportedly included an image that prompted immediate concern and led to emergency calls. Officers responded to the home shortly afterward, where they forced entry and discovered the three victims inside.
Authorities emphasized that the investigation spans multiple scenes across Glendale and Phoenix, with Glendale police handling the initial bar shooting and Phoenix detectives leading the investigation into the deaths at the residence. Officials are coordinating evidence collection, witness interviews, and digital records to establish a clear timeline of events.
Investigators said that while the sequence of events is becoming clearer, a definitive motive has not yet been established. Law enforcement officials have stated publicly that they are still working to determine what led to the escalation and whether any prior domestic issues or stressors contributed to the incident.
Community members and officials across both cities have expressed grief and shock over the tragedy, particularly due to the loss of two young children. Authorities have urged the public to allow investigators time to complete their work and have encouraged anyone with additional information about the bar incident or the events leading up to it to come forward as the case remains active and ongoing.
