Michael Duritsky Jr. Addison, PA Vehicle Collision: Racing Community Reflects on the Loss of Michael Duritsky Jr., Who Died in Fayette County Incident

 The community of Addison and the regional racing scene are in sorrow over the unexpected loss of Michael Duritsky Jr., 28, who tragically passed away on Wednesday night following a collision involving two vehicles on Route 40 in Fayette County.


According to Fayette County Coroner Bob Baker, his office received a call regarding the incident on Route 40 east, near Hopewood, shortly before seven in the evening. Duritsky, who lived in Addison, Pennsylvania, was declared dead at the crash site due to injuries from the accident. The other vehicle's driver did not sustain any injuries. Pennsylvania State Police are actively looking into the matter, and officials have not verified if a tractor-trailer seen at the location was part of the incident.

Michael Duritsky Jr. was a prominent and well-respected figure within the racing fraternity, recognized for his participation in the RUSH Late Model Series. Known by the nickname “Mad Dog,” he achieved two victories in his racing career at the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (PPMS). While his achievements on the racetrack were impressive, those who knew him emphasize that his influence extended well beyond the realm of racing.
