Hunter M. Foley Watertown, New York Accident

Hunter was born in Carthage, New York, on August 26, 1998, to Michael J. and Jennifer P. (Morgan) Foley. He was larger than life in spirit and had a heart as big as his love for family, friends, and adventure.

Hunter was quite enthusiastic about hockey right from an early age. He switched to officiating when he got older after playing with the Watertown Hockey Association.

Hunter became a very well-known hockey official by spending countless hours on youth games, high school matches, Jefferson Community College contests, and men's league hockey all around the area. Players, coaches, and families all lauded his passion, honesty, and love of the game.

Hunter graduated from General Brown High School in 2016, where he played hockey and lacrosse. While still participating in lacrosse and having close connections to the community, he continued his athletic interests at Jefferson Community College and graduated in 2018 with a degree in Criminal Justice.

Hunter lived life like a ball of fire. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling in the Tug Hill Region with his buddies, always embracing the dirt, trails, and adventure.

Hunter could brighten any space and turn daily events into something extraordinary with his trademark mullet, contagious laugh, and amazing dance moves. Hunter never let difficulties hinder him even following open-heart surgery at age 12 to correct an atrial septal defect.

Everyone around him was inspired by his optimism and grit. Hunter was quite loyal, always loving, and committed to his family beyond his interests and interests. His parents, Michael J. and Jennifer P. Foley; his brother, Riley C. Foley; and his beloved friend, Remington the dog, all survive him.

His maternal grandfather, Daren L. Morgan; maternal uncle and fiancee, Michael S. Morgan and Charlotte Struble; aunts, uncles, and cousins all throughout the area, all of whom loved him passionately, also remember him affectionately.

Hunter's grandparents, Beverly Morgan, William and Marion Foley, and other relatives who are undoubtedly welcoming him with open arms came before him in death.

On Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Hart & Bruce Funeral Home in Watertown, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM will be calling hours.
