A Graniteville family is mourning the loss of an 18-year-old teen who died in a tragic crash on Christmas Eve, as community members rally to provide support through a GoFundMe fundraiser.

Aiden C. Judy, 18, was killed in a single-vehicle accident on the evening of December 24 in the 200 block of Connector Road in Graniteville, South Carolina, according to the Aiken County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Authorities said Judy was driving a 2007 Kia Spectra northbound around 8:30 p.m. when the vehicle veered off the roadway, struck a culvert, and overturned. Judy was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:18 p.m., Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Ramey confirmed.

Emergency responders from the Aiken County Coroner’s Office arrived at 267 Connector Road, where the investigation remains ongoing. Officials said toxicology results are pending, and no further details about contributing factors have been released at this time.

Judy, a Graniteville resident, was expected to graduate high school next year, according to his family. His sudden death has left loved ones devastated, especially coming on Christmas Eve. A GoFundMe fundraiser organized to help cover funeral expenses raised more than $6,000 within just a few hours, reflecting the strong community response.

His girlfriend shared an emotional tribute following his passing, writing, “You mean the world to me and I don’t know what to do without you. You will be missed every second, every minute, and every day.”

As the investigation continues, family and friends remember Judy as a young life taken far too soon, with many offering prayers and support to his loved ones during this heartbreaking time.
