Grape Creek Female Passes Away in Collision Involving Multiple Vehicles on U.S. Highway 87

Tracy Danielle Daigle, a 56-year-old from Grape Creek, Texas, sadly passed away in a collision involving four vehicles on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in Tom Green County. The incident happened around 7:57 a.m. close to the intersection of U.S. Highway 87 and March Road, as reported by the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS).

Initial investigations indicate that Daigle was heading south on March Road in her Ford Focus when she neglected to yield at a stop sign at the junction. Consequently, her car was hit by a westbound Ford Fusion traveling in the inner lane of U.S. 87. The collision force led to the Ford Focus’s left rear tire becoming detached, which then resulted in it being struck by a westbound Chevrolet Equinox traveling in the outer lane. Following closely behind the Equinox, a Toyota pickup truck collided with the back of the Chevrolet after its driver lost control due to the sudden stop.

Unfortunately, Daigle was pronounced dead at the crash site. Officials noted that at the time of the incident, she was not buckled up. The male driver of the Ford Fusion, aged 33 and from Carlsbad, sustained minor injuries, whereas the drivers of the Chevrolet Equinox and the Toyota pickup, both hailing from San Angelo, remained unharmed.

At the time of the accident, the weather was clear and the roadway was dry. This incident is the second fatal crash in Tom Green County in just a few days, following the earlier death of 21-year-old Steven Lake Tucker from San Angelo in a different accident on U.S. 87 earlier that week.

The community of Grape Creek and Tom Green County has been profoundly impacted by the loss of Tracy Danielle Daigle, who was cherished for her kindness, warmth, and strong connections with neighbors and friends. Her departure has created a significant absence in the lives of those who knew and loved her, who now reflect on the happiness and light she infused into their existence.

Investigations into the details surrounding the accident are ongoing, and the Texas Department of Public Safety is encouraging all motorists to strictly follow traffic signals and exercise caution while driving to avoid similar tragedies in the future.
