Sheboygan Theatre Company is pleased to announce the addition of Abi Charbonneau to its Executive Team.
Sheboygan Theatre Company representatives have revealed that Abi Charbonneau will be taking on the role of Executive Assistant.
In her position as part of the Executive Team, Charbonneau will assist with STC's programming, outreach to the community, coordination of productions, and managing volunteer efforts, aiding the organization's ongoing development and its engagement in the community.
“Bringing Abi back to this region and into the STC family is truly a wonderful moment,” stated Tricia Roberts, Executive Director of Sheboygan Theatre Company. “Abi’s experience with STC embodies the essence of community theatre. It's a place where artists discover belonging, enhance their connections, and take on leadership roles. Her background in the profession, enthusiasm for education, and spirit of collaboration will be incredibly beneficial to our organization as well as our volunteers.”
Charbonneau is a theatre artist from the Midwest residing in Sheboygan, with a diverse background in various aspects of the performing arts. She has partnered with numerous organizations such as the New York City Ballet, Theatre Aspen, Overture Center, Children’s Theater of Madison, First Stage, The REV Theatre Company, Brooklyn Acting Lab, and Sunset Playhouse. Her experience includes performance, education, and joint artistic leadership encompassing both professional and community-based environments.
Beyond her background in acting, Charbonneau presently works as a Teaching Artist with First Stage, Danceworks MKE, Children’s Theater of Madison, Overture’s Disney Music in Schools initiatives, and The University School in Milwaukee. Her latest acting roles consist of The REV on Tour (2025–2026), Vincent the Musical (AEA Workshop Cast), Les Femme Musketeers with The Sidekick Troupe, and The Unofficial, Unauthorized Barbie Princess and the Pauper, also with The Sidekick Troupe

“I am thrilled about the chance to become part of STC’s goal to offer accessible and community-focused programming in the Greater Sheboygan County area, while also enhancing my individual and professional art skills,” Charbonneau expressed. “STC enjoys a strong reputation for uniting people through theatre, and I feel privileged to contribute to that mission.” Charbonneau's relationship with Sheboygan Theatre Company started on stage with her role in Legally Blonde, which was the concluding production of STC’s 91st Season. This opportunity allowed her to experience STC’s culture of collaboration and volunteer enthusiasm, and it deepened her connection to the organization's dedication to education, inclusion, and community involvement. Her shift from being a performer to an Executive Assistant symbolizes STC’s commitment to cultivating talent, fostering leaders from within, and crafting significant opportunities for artists.
In her new position, Charbonneau will enhance internal communication, aid in planning productions, and act as a vital link among STC’s leadership, artists, and volunteers. Her mix of professional theatre experience and background in arts education equips her to address both the operational and creative demands of the organization as STC aims to broaden its programming and community outreach.
