A heartbreaking event that occurred early Monday morning has left the community of Visalia in disbelief following an alleged murder-suicide involving local firearms instructor Edward “Eddie” Reynoso and his spouse, Stephanie Reynoso.
The unfortunate incident took place around 12:29 a.m. when police in Visalia responded to a disturbance call from a family in the 2700 block of East La Vida Avenue. Upon their arrival, law enforcement officers found both Edward and Stephanie dead from gunshot injuries within their home.
Investigators suspect that Edward Reynoso shot his wife before ultimately ending his own life. The couple, who were the parents of two young children, were well-recognized members of their community.
Originally from Exeter, CA, Edward was a leading instructor for Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) courses and highly regarded in the realm of firearms education. He provided instruction through California Concealed Carry Permit Training as well as the Utah CCW program, and he was certified by the Department of Justice as a Firearms and Safety instructor, serving students across Tulare, Kings, and Fresno counties.

The Violent Crimes Unit of the Visalia Police Department is currently working on the investigation, though additional details have not yet been made available.
