Tucson Double Shooting Results in Death of Casey Sheehan Kneisel, Another Victim Hurt; Suspect Taken into Custody
Tucson, AZ — A brutal altercation late Monday evening has led to the death of a man and left a woman hospitalized following a shooting that occurred at a home and a nearby dining establishment on the west side of Tucson.
As per the Tucson Police Department (TPD), the event took place around 11:00 p.m. on November 10, 2025, in the vicinity of the 2200 block of West Ironwood Hill Drive. Upon arrival, officers found a woman with gunshot wounds at a residence. She received first aid from the Tucson Fire Department (TFD) on-site before being taken to a local hospital for additional medical treatment.

At a restaurant close by, officers located 34-year-old Casey Sheehan Kneisel suffering from severe gunshot wounds. Emergency personnel attempted to provide assistance, but Kneisel was declared dead at the location.
Investigation and Arrest
Homicide investigators along with the Crime Scene Unit quickly responded to both scenes to look into the incident. Early evidence points to a confrontation occurring at the residence, involving the suspect and the two victims, which escalated to gunfire. Both victims were injured in the first exchange of shots. Kneisel, gravely hurt, sought refuge in the nearby restaurant, but the suspect pursued him and continued to fire inside the venue.
A rapid response from law enforcement resulted in the arrest of the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Philip Michael Chambers Jr. Chambers has been taken into custody and booked at the Pima County Jail on the following charges:
First-Degree Murder
Improper Use of Firearms (Prohibited Possessor)
Two Counts of Aggravated Assault (Domestic Violence)
