Obituary and Cause of Death for Jaquveon Wright: Taco Bell Work Conflict Leads to Milwaukee Teen Charged with Killing Cousin

A 19-year-old woman is facing serious charges after she allegedly fatally stabbed her cousin during a dispute that began over a job referral. According to authorities, 18-year-old Jaquveon Wright was killed in a fight that broke out inside their shared home on September 29. His cousin Rae'Jianna Hall is accused with reckless homicide.

According to a police complaint, the altercation began when Hall became upset that Wright would not help her land a job at the Taco Bell, where he worked. Wright, his fiancĂ©e, Hall, and their family lived in a duplex on Milwaukee's north side.

Reports state that at approximately 2:00 p.m., Hall requested Wright's manager's phone number so she could apply for a job. Wright's refusal heightened tensions, leading to a furious dispute that quickly spiraled out of control.

Wright "run up and assaulted her" after she "spit on him," according to Hall, who called 911, and the police were brought to the house. She also told the dispatchers that she had stabbed him in self-defense. Wright was found outside the house, heavily bleeding from a stab wound to his neck, when the police arrived. Despite the efforts of rescue workers, he was immediately pronounced dead. According to CCTV footage, Wright allegedly fled the house "with blood gushing from his neck" before collapsing.

During her police interview, Hall admitted to pepper-spraying Wright earlier that day and striking a knife at him during their argument, puncturing his clothing. She claimed that she was so frightened when Wright returned and attacked her that she raised the knife once again. Although Hall conceded that she could have killed Wright, she would not clarify whether the stabbing was an accident or deliberate, stating that "that was not her purpose."

Witnesses said that the cousins fought often, including Wright's mother and girlfriend. Wright's girlfriend claims that Hall regularly threatened him, laughing and saying that he would "stab" or "murder" him. She recalled witnessing Hall "swing her fists" just before blood began to appear on the walls. Wright's mother said she heard Hall holding a large knife and threatening to cut Wright just before the fatal incident.

Rae'Jianna Hall is charged with reckless homicide, domestic abuse, and the use of a lethal weapon. She is currently being jailed on $100,000 bail, and her next court date is October 14. Authorities are still investigating the facts surrounding the deadly family dispute that shook the Milwaukee neighborhood.
