Authorities said the crash occurred shortly after 3 p.m. near 2897 East Blakeslee Boulevard, in front of 443 Auto Sales. The accident involved a passenger car and a stake‑body truck. Snyder, who was operating one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene around 4 p.m. by Carbon County Deputy Coroner Erika Reinheimer, according to the Carbon County Coroner’s Office.

Officials reported that Snyder’s car came to rest against a snow bank in a private commercial parking lot, while the truck stopped broadside on the roadway. A male passenger traveling with Snyder sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby trauma center for emergency treatment. His condition has not yet been publicly updated.

The Carbon County Coroner’s Office, working in coordination with the Carbon County District Attorney’s Office and Pennsylvania State Police at the Lehighton barracks, is investigating the cause of the crash. While the exact circumstances remain under review, the coroner has ruled the manner of Snyder’s death an accident.

The fatal crash has shaken the Summit Hill and Mahoning Township communities, where Snyder was known as a caring and hardworking individual. Friends and family are mourning her sudden loss, remembering her as someone who brought warmth and kindness to those around her.

Traffic along East Blakeslee Boulevard was disrupted for several hours as emergency crews worked to secure the scene, assist victims, and begin the investigation. The roadway has since reopened, but the incident serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers drivers face during winter conditions in Carbon County.

Authorities have not yet released further details about the stake‑body truck driver or whether charges may be considered pending the outcome of the investigation. For now, officials are focused on reconstructing the events leading up to the collision to determine contributing factors.

Community members have expressed condolences to Snyder’s family, with many noting the tragedy’s impact on the small Summit Hill area. Vigils and memorials are expected to be organized in the coming days as loved ones gather to honor her life.

The investigation remains ongoing, and officials encourage anyone with information about the crash to contact Pennsylvania State Police in Lehighton.
