E. Magnolia Avenue Shooting Incident: The Homicide Unit is looking into a fatal shooting that took place on E. Magnolia Avenue.

 Knoxville Police Department's Homicide Unit detectives are looking into a fatal shooting incident that took place on Friday evening on E. Magnolia Avenue close to Olive Street.

Just before 8:30 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025, multiple KPD officers were dispatched to 2309 E. Magnolia Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered an 18-year-old male lying in the parking lot with gunshot wounds. The officers rendered medical assistance at the scene before the injured individual was taken to the UT Medical Center, where he was subsequently declared deceased.

Currently, the details related to the shooting have not been verified and are still being investigated. Detectives are exploring the possibility that there was a confrontation involving the victim inside 2309 E. Magnolia prior to the shooting incident.

No suspect has been clearly identified or apprehended at this time.
