Sergio Maya was murdered in a hit-and-run accident on the Pacific Coast Highway near Western Avenue in Harbor City.

 Sergio Maya, 35, was recognized by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office as the cyclist who lost his life in a collision with two hit-and-run drivers in Harbor City on Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred on September 25 at around 12:55 p.m. on the Pacific Coast Highway near Western Avenue.

The LAPD reports that an eastbound motorbike collided with a silver van heading west on the PCH after the van turned in front of the motorcycle.

An older pickup truck traveling west struck the motorcycle after it lost control as a result of the incident.

The rider, who was eventually named as Maya, passed away at the scene despite the best efforts of the medical staff.

The LAPD is presently searching for the two drivers who fled the scene after hitting the rider.
