Janaysia Lewis Columbus, Ohio Shooting: Woman Charged in East Columbus Triple Shooting Appearance in Court

Authorities in East Columbus have identified the woman killed in a triple shooting at the Sterling Court Apartments as 22-year-old Janaysia Lewis.

When police arrived at the apartment complex at Stelzer Road at around 9:24 p.m., they found three women who had been shot. After being brought to the hospital in critical condition, Lewis was pronounced dead. Shots were fired into the hands and feet of the other two victims. Both are expected to get better soon.

Investigators said that the alleged shooter, 32-year-old Zandra Wignal, admitted to firing the shots. According to a criminal complaint, Wignal shot Lewis after he shoved her during a quarrel, and she then shot the other two ladies when they tried to take the pistol away from her.

Wignal appeared in Franklin County Municipal Court on Friday, when a judge set her bond at $750,000. September 26 is the date of her initial hearing about the murder charge.
