Police are looking into a shooting involving an 18-year-old close to Four Star Fitness on Cornwell Drive in Yukon.
Reports of shooting in the fitness center parking lot led to the deployment of emergency teams. First responders saw the victim, thought to be around 18 years old, breathing and responsive in dispatch messages. First reports said a white Lexus was related to the incident.
Several police cars, an ambulance, and a fire engine among other emergency units reacted. Officers concentrated their efforts on two cars parked at the west side of the parking area. Soon after their arrival, police secured the scene and began their inquiry by surrounding both cars with crime scene tape.
Authorities have not yet made public any information on the victim's condition, whether the person was sent for medical attention, or if any suspects have been found. The events that led up to the shooting are yet unknown.
Police kept documenting the scene and interviewing witnesses. Authorities claim further information will be released as it becomes known; the event is still under close investigation.
