Family Tribute – Troy Polkey of Schriever, LA Remembered Fondly After Tragic Motorcycle Accident in Terrebonne Parish
The Schriever people is grieving the terrible loss of 59-year-old Troy Polkey, who passed on Thursday afternoon after a catastrophic motorcycle accident in Terrebonne Parish.
The accident took place at the intersection of Louisiana Highway 20 and Back Project Road about 3:00 p.m., according Louisiana State Police. Polkey was riding his motorcycle westbound on LA Highway 20 when a Chevrolet Impala, going north on Back Project Road, did not stop at a stop sign and hit him.
Polkey was taken to a nearby hospital where he afterwards died from his injuries after suffering severe wounds. Following breath and toxicology tests, the driver of the Impala was uninjured and verified to be not under influence.
Authorities are still looking into the accident to identify all contributing causes.
Grieving Troy Polkey's abrupt and horrific passing are family, friends, and the Schriever community.
