A 41-year-old Manassas man lost his life Friday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash on Harbor Drive, leaving family members, friends, and the wider Prince William County community in mourning as investigators work to determine exactly how the collision occurred.

According to Prince William County police, the crash took place just before 2:30 p.m. on a private road located across from 12730 Harbor Drive. Authorities said a 2014 Hyundai Sonata entered Harbor Drive from the private roadway and was struck by a 2018 Dodge Durango traveling southbound, resulting in a sudden and violent impact.

Officials identified the driver of the Hyundai Sonata as Joseph Franklin Ledoux, 41, of Manassas. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries, according to Sgt. Justin Adams in a public statement released shortly after the incident.

The driver of the Dodge Durango, a 25-year-old man from Woodbridge, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received medical treatment following the crash. Authorities confirmed that he survived the collision and is expected to recover.
