The victim of a deadly accident that happened Monday evening in Middletown has been named by the Butler County Coroner's Office.

Middletown's Luke Helton, 24, passed at the accident scene on Carmody Boulevard close to Hook Drive. Around 6:00 p.m. the accident took place. Police have not provided further specifics on the events surrounding the accident.
Emergency personnel rushed to the scene after hearing of the accident and tried to offer help, but Helton was declared dead. Over the loss of the young guy, the community has expressed disbelief and sorrow.
As they grieve, family and friends have requested privacy remembering Helton for his warmth, energy, and ties inside the neighborhood. His death reminds one of the unexpected and horrific character of traffic accidents as well as their effect on communities and families.
Investigators are still looking into the collision to find out what caused it. Soon after the accident, the route was open for regular traffic.
