Las Vegas Mother and Friend Found Shot to Death — Family Alleges Ex-Boyfriend Involvement
Las Vegas mother Briana Flowers and artist Anfernee Pollard found shot dead; family alleges ex‑boyfriend involvement. GoFundMe raises $8k for son Amil
LAS VEGAS, NV — A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded Wednesday morning in southwest Las Vegas, where a mother and a man were found shot to death inside a home after her 7‑year‑old son called 911 to report his mother injured.
Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded around 7:20 a.m. to the 8600 block of Rowland Bluff Avenue, where they discovered 31‑year‑old Briana Flowers and Anfernee “Big Bang” Pollard suffering from life‑threatening gunshot wounds. Despite immediate aid from officers and medical personnel, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The child, identified by family as Amill, is now in the care of relatives as the homicide investigation continues.
Pollard, described by Belizean media as a beloved artist in his home country, was mourned by fans and family alike. Flowers was remembered as a devoted single mother who had endured personal loss, including the recent death of her own mother to cancer, and had taken in siblings to support her family.
Family members allege Flowers was murdered by her ex‑boyfriend, Jacob Charles of Los Angeles, claiming she had expressed fears of him prior to the incident. A relative posted on social media urging anyone with knowledge of Charles to contact Las Vegas police. Authorities, however, have not named a suspect or confirmed the allegation, and the investigation remains active.
In the wake of the tragedy, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support Amill’s future. Organized by Shatiera Davis, the fundraiser has raised more than $8,000 to cover his education, extracurricular activities, and care. “Amill was his mom’s whole world, and she poured all her love, time, and energy into him,” the campaign states. “This fundraiser is dedicated to honoring her memory by creating a special fund for Amill’s future — think education, activities he’ll love, and anything that will help him thrive and grow into the amazing young man his mother always knew he’d be.”
Police continue to investigate the double homicide and are asking anyone with information to call (702) 828‑3521 or provide tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers at (702) 385‑5555. The Clark County coroner’s office will release official identifications, causes, and manners of death once confirmed.
