The four members of a family discovered dead in what police think was a double murder-suicide at a property in Mosman Park, one of Perth's wealthiest riverfront suburbs, have been officially identified by the authorities.
The dead have been identified as 49-year-old Maiwenna Goasdowe; her boyfriend, 50-year-old Jarrod Clune; and their two boys, Leon, 16, and Otis, 14. Early Friday morning, emergency responders were summoned to the family's home on Mott Close after worries about the well-being of those inside the home were raised.
Arriving officers found four corpses on the house. The scene was quickly secured; murder detectives were given command of the investigation.
Consistent with a possible double murder-suicide, Western Australia Police have characterised the deaths as suspicious and are handling the case as domestic. Researchers, meanwhile, have underlined that early stage investigations continue.
Police have said that limited information will be made public while the inquiry goes on; detectives are diligently rebuilding the events leading up to the deaths. Officials have also confirmed there is no current threat to the general public.
