Following a shark attack, 12-year-old Nico Antic died at Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick, Sydney, Australia, causing the Vaucluse community to grieve. The young lad was having a Sunday afternoon jumping off a rock face at Neilson Park, close to Shark Beach, when he was hit by a suspected bull shark. His wounds were too grave despite the heroic efforts of friends who leaped into the water to get him to safety and the great medical treatment he got.

Their son was remembered by them as a cheerful, pleasant, athletic small boy with an exceptionally kind and giving nature. This obituary remembers a youngster said to be always brimming of life, a characteristic his family claims will define the way they remember him.
The family thanked the medical staff in Sydney and the first responders whoated to attend to Nico quite busy. They also want to thank the local people for the great support and kind notes received since the attack.
As word of his passing spreads throughout the city, recollection of Nico Antic stands as evidence of a life lived with happiness, far too short by a tragic accident.
