Around 8:10 p.m., after a shooting was reported, officers from the Artesia Police Department were sent to the ABO Apartments, situated at 700 N. 10th Street.Officers discovered Ivan bleeding from gunshot wounds when they arrived.They quickly began life-saving procedures, using every tool at their disposal to keep him alive.Shortly after, emergency medical services arrived and continued to provide medical help with urgency and attention.Ivan died from his wounds despite these brave attempts; his life was heartbreakingly shortened.
