Chesne Hannah Long, 19, of Caldwell, Ohio, died on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.Born on August 1, 2006, in Cambridge, Ohio, she was the adored daughter of Brent and Kristen Stephen Long.
Chesne's life, though short, was rich of love, laughter, and an exceptional spirit that will stay on everyone who knew her.Chesne showed a kind heart and a dazzling personality from a young age.Her kind disposition and happy attitude made those around her appreciated and loved.
Always ready to provide a comforting word, a grin, or a helping hand, Chesne had a compassionate heart and an infectious giggle.At the Caldwell Church of Christ, she was a dedicated and loyal member whose faith, warmth, and love for others were clear in every action.
A Caldwell High School graduate in 2025, Chesne excelled academically and athletic.She graduated summa cum laude, a tribute to her intelligence, tenacity, and tenacity.
Chesne, a gifted volleyball player, held many school records and was respected by fans, coaches, and teammates alike for her teamwork, tenacity, and ability.Her success on the court mirrored her commitment and her capacity to motivate and raise those nearby.
Beyond her achievements, Chesne enjoyed the small pleasures of living.Her great passion for music inspired her, and she treasured her time with her adored cat, Luca, and her horse, Saylor.
She looked forward to her annual visits to Gatlinburg and Lakewood, highlights of her life, and valued time spent with family and friends.Every minute spent with Chesne was memorable thanks to her energetic attitude, fidelity, and happiness.
Her hero and beloved Pap, Kevin Stephen, whose memory she kept precious every day; her great-grandfathers, Carl Forshey and Dale Stephen; and her uncle, Darrel Forshey, preceded her in death.
Chesne is survived by her loving parents, Brent and Kristen Long; her devoted brother, Beckett Long; grandparents Galen and Candie Long; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who all held her closely in their hearts.
She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to comfort and inspire her friends and family.Chesne's life was full of love, meaning, and light even though her time with us was far too brief.
Her laughter, compassion, and happiness will persist in every life she touched.Chesne will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her achievements, her kind heart, and her gift of making those around her feel valued.
Friends will be welcomed by the family on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724.Under the direction of Pastor Kris Bright, a funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel.
