Jeremy Rosales Victorville, Calif Shooting: Fourteen-year-old Jeremy Rosales has been recognized as the individual who was shot in Victorville close to Mojave Vista Park, and the perpetrator is still at large.

 Jeremy Rosales, a 14-year-old from Victorville, has been named as the individual killed in a shooting incident that occurred near Mojave Vista Park Friday evening, with officials stating that no arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident.

Around 8:21 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, the sheriff’s dispatch center received numerous reports of several gunshots being fired in the vicinity of Glen Canyon Lane and Burwood Avenue, based on a statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Upon their arrival, deputies found Rosales lying in the street with wounds from gunfire. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was later declared dead. The Homicide Detail from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division took over the case.

Officers cordoned off streets close to Mojave Vista Elementary School and Mojave Vista Park on Burwood Avenue, which saw a significant law enforcement presence on Friday night.

The identity of the shooter or shooters has not been revealed, and the inquiry is still in progress.

Jeremy Rosales played for the SoCal Trojans youth football team, which posted a tribute announcing a remembrance gathering. In a social media update, the team shared:

A candlelight gathering to honor Jeremy “TANK” Rosales will take place on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at TESA (High Desert), located at 12221 Poplar Ave. #19, in Hesperia.

“Jeremy ‘Tank’ Rosales was an incredible young person whose dedication and athletic abilities made him shine both in athletics and in life. He was cherished not only by his family, but also by the whole community. Tank was recognized for his polite demeanor and generous spirit, always eager to offer help or a friendly smile to those around him. His presence united people, and his absence is profoundly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.”
