The Eastlake neighborhood is grieving the untimely death of Davieon Talley, 18, fatally shot Sunday night, January 26, at the Jackson Towers Apartments in Painesville.
Multiple gunshots were reported within the building around 7:45 p.m. on Jan. 26. Upon a foot patrol preparation on site, Painesville police responded quickly. Found in a stairwell, Talley was pronounced dead at the scene. Two further victims—a 22-year-old Painesville man and a 17-year-old Painesville boy—were also shot and taken to University Hospitals Tri-Point Medical Center. Their names and current circumstances have not been revealed.
Eastlake resident Davieon Talley is remembered by family, friends, and neighbors as a young man with a great future whose life was tragically cut short. His death leaves a great hollow in the hearts of his acquaintances. Talley's family has received condolences from the Painesville Police Department, which has also verified there is no present danger to society or its people.
