Abbotsford Deadly Shooting: Individual Hurt in West Abbotsford

 A notable law enforcement presence was observed in the western part of Abbotsford on Friday, January 9, in response to a shooting that officials believe was intentional.


The event took place in the 3200 block of Siskin Drive, located just to the west of Blue Jay Street. Officers from the Abbotsford Police Department arrived at the location and secured the area as part of an ongoing investigation.

Authorities mentioned that the shooting does not appear to be connected to extortion and reassured the public that there is no continuous threat to safety. As a safety measure, Siskin Drive was blocked off between Sandpiper Drive and Stellar Court around 2:30 p.m. while investigators tended to the situation.
