 The boxing community in Canada is mourning as the news of Mike Power’s death becomes known. Power, who served as the President of Boxing Ontario, passed away gently in his home located in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. 


A cherished icon in the boxing world, his direction, guidance, and foresight significantly influenced the province's boxing landscape for many years.

Mike Power’s journey in boxing lasted many years, starting off as a committed athlete and ultimately advancing into roles in coaching and management. His time at Boxing Ontario was marked by a dedication to high standards, the growth of athletes, and involvement in the community.
