The Dover community is grieving the devastating loss of Kathy M. Fruchey, 69, a cherished member whose life was tragically ended on November 17, 2025, due to an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on North Wooster Avenue.
Kathy was hit at approximately 6:07 p.m. close to Karle Alley and sustained severe injuries. Initially, she was taken to Union Hospital by Dover EMS and then transported to Akron Summa via MedFlight, where, despite all attempts to save her, she was declared dead. Her death has created profound sorrow among family, friends, and neighbors who cherished her kindness, warmth, and gentle demeanor.
Those who cared for Kathy describe her as a compassionate and thoughtful individual who exhibited a quiet strength. She was a common sight in Dover, someone who enriched the lives of others through small acts of kindness and a sincere, inviting spirit.
