Jeff Randall “Cheeseburger” Carter, a prominent name in the racing scene of Georgia, has died at the age of 63. A longtime inhabitant of Carrollton, Georgia, and previously from Covington, he peacefully passed away at his residence on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
Carter, fondly referred to as “Cheeseburger,” gained fame through his dirt-track racing career, securing over 100 victories and two titles in local events. He became a well-known and respected participant in Georgia's racing community, recognized for his fierce competitiveness and passion for the sport.
Beyond his racing success, Carter spent many years as a wrecker driver, aiding stranded drivers and providing assistance in challenging circumstances. This position transcended mere employment; it was a means through which he could support his local community.
A dedicated member of Honey Creek Baptist Church, Carter was firmly anchored in his faith and devoted to service. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, his children, Robbie and Haley, and several grandchildren, all of whom he held dear.
His death has created a considerable loss for both the Covington and Carrollton communities. Friends, relatives, and neighbors remember Carter not only for his talent on the racetrack but also for his generosity and readiness to assist others away from racing.
Details regarding the memorial service are currently being coordinated and will be made public by the family.
