Union, Missouri's Paige Kleinheider: North City Woman's Body Discovered in Duffle Bag Identified Victim

St. Louis police are investigating the disturbing discovery of a woman's body found on Harney Avenue on Sunday afternoon, stuffed inside a duffel bag. Authorities have identified the victim as 35-year-old Paige Kleinheider of Union, Missouri.

Officers were called to the 5900 block of Harney Avenue shortly after 12:30 p.m. after neighbors spotted what they described as a "weird gray bag" next to a tote. Social media was used by the families of the local neighbors to broadcast the find, including recordings of the police officers protecting the area and checking the bag.

For the second time in less than a week, human remains have been found in North St. Louis, leaving residents stunned and wanting answers. Neighbors expressed frustration and fear as crime scene tape surrounded the street for hours while police collected evidence.

Detectives from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Division are in charge of the investigation. An autopsy is still underway to determine Kleinheider's exact cause of death, which police have not yet revealed. Authorities have not confirmed whether there are currently any suspects or persons of interest.

The death of Kleinheider is being investigated as suspicious, and investigators are urging anyone with information to come forward. Police are asking residents to look into security camera or doorbell footage that might show strange activity in the area around the time of discovery.

Locals are calling for increased patrols and safety as concerns about violent crime in the region grow.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department or CrimeStoppers to assist in the investigation.
