Heath, Ethan M. Car Incident in Franklin County, IN: Ethan M. Heath Identified in Fatal Solo-Vehicle Collision Under Investigation in Franklin County

 Ethan M. Heath, 17, of Laurel, was killed in a single-vehicle collision on State Road 1 close to Blooming Grove early on Sunday, September 28, 2025. The Franklin County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident.

Deputies and emergency personnel from the Blooming Grove Fire Department were dispatched to the 14000 block of State Road 1 at approximately 4:30 in the morning. Heath was discovered dead at the spot when they got there.

According to preliminary accounts, Heath's car was traveling north when it swerved off the east side of the road for unknown reasons. Before coming to a stop, the car flew into the air, struck a culvert and a driveway, and overturned multiple times.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Department is in charge of the ongoing investigation into the crash's circumstances, with assistance from the Indiana State Excise Police, the Blooming Grove Fire Department, the Franklin County Coroner's Office, and the Brookville Police Department.
