 Drue Eliot's Cause of Death and Obituary in North Carolina: Dr. Eliot died after a heroic and inspirational battle with metastatic Ewing sarcoma, an uncommon and deadly bone cancer. With deep grief and love, the Eliot family and the greater collegiate football community lament his loss. Drue was first diagnosed in 2019 while her father, Brian “Coach” Eliot, was the defensive coordinator at the University of Kansas.


Since then, Drue has shown incredible strength, composure, and determination in overcoming every challenge presented by her illness. Numerous individuals, including coworkers, classmates, athletes, coaches, and supporters worldwide, found inspiration in her journey. Her humble bravery and unflinching endurance in the face of extreme misfortune were examples of the kind of character that influences lives far beyond her own.
