Billy LaFrance's unexpected death in a motorcycle accident is lamented by the locals of Taylor, Texas.

 Authorities have identified Jarrell resident Billy LaFrance, 24, as the motorcyclist who died in a crash in Taylor on Friday night.

At around 5:56 p.m., the collision occurred near County Road 366 in the 13400 block of Chandler Road. Taylor police say LaFrance's motorcycle struck a white 2021 Toyota Corolla as it was going south on County Road 366.

After Williamson County EMS arrived first and attempted life-saving measures, LaFrance was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota, Melany Espana, 23, of Arlington, was taken to Scott and White Hospital in Taylor following minor injuries.

The police say the investigation is still ongoing. There have been two documented fatal crashes in Taylor this year.
