ATV Crash in Lauderdale County Kills Florence Man

 Alabama's Lauderdale County – Cory L. Stevenson, 34, of Florence, Alabama, died in a sad accident on Saturday afternoon. Stevenson was driving a 2015 Sportsman 570 ATV when it veered off the road, collided with a ditch, and flipped, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) authorities. About five miles north of Florence, on Lauderdale County Road 24 close to Hike Drive, the event happened at around 4:45 p.m. on August 30.


The Lauderdale County coroner's office declared Stevenson dead at the spot after he was flung from the ATV. Despite their prompt arrival, first responders were unable to save him.


To find out what caused this deadly occurrence, state troopers from ALEA's Highway Patrol Division are currently looking into the collision. As of yet, no additional information has been made public.

The collision is a clear reminder of the risks involved in off-road vehicle use and the significance of safety precautions, such as wearing protective gear and following speed limits.

Cory Stevenson was a wonderful and lively person whose life was sadly cut short, and his death is being mourned by friends, family, and the community. His family is in our prayers and thoughts during this difficult time.
