An unnamed male was found dead from several gunshot wounds in Chesterfield County, Virginia.

 A man who had been shot multiple times was found dead early Thursday in Chesterfield County.

Following reports of a deadly weapon assault, Chesterfield County Police Department officers arrived at the 12300 block of Moores Lake Road at around 4:07 a.m. on Thursday, September 25.

When officers arrived, they discovered a man who had been shot numerous times. He was pronounced deceased at the spot.

Investigators have yet to reveal the victim's identity because they must inform their next of kin.

The police claim that there is no ongoing threat to the public. The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
