The casino, a well-known Eagle Pass attraction that draws visitors from all across Texas and Mexico, was completely booked at the time of the event. Despite attempts to resuscitate the others, one individual was pronounced dead at the site.
Officials said six other persons were injured, ranging from minor to major. Many people are still in the hospital, and doctors are closely monitoring their conditions.
