Jason “Manfiish” Edwards Among Two Killed

According to the Cleveland Police Department, the fatal crash occurred Tuesday afternoon at approximately 4:20 p.m. near Spring Road on State Route 176 South. The collision involved three vehicles: a dump truck, a Jeep Patriot, and a Ford E-350 van. Emergency responders rushed to the scene after reports of a serious chain-reaction crash involving fire and multiple injuries.

Preliminary findings indicate that a southbound dump truck struck a Jeep Patriot that had slowed because of traffic congestion ahead. The force of the impact pushed the Jeep into a Ford E-350 van traveling in front of it. Following the collision, the Jeep overturned and became engulfed in flames, creating a chaotic and devastating scene for first responders and nearby motorists.

Authorities said the Ford E-350 also lost control after being struck, crashing into the highway median before overturning. Emergency personnel worked quickly to rescue those involved, but both occupants inside the Jeep Patriot suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. Family and friends later confirmed one of the victims was Jason Edwards.

The second victim has not yet been publicly identified as authorities continue efforts to notify next of kin. Meanwhile, the 35-year-old driver of the dump truck was not injured in the crash. A 71-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman traveling in the Ford E-350 sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officials have not released updates regarding their current conditions.

News of Edwards’ death has sent waves of sorrow through Cleveland’s hardcore music scene, where he was widely respected for his energy, passion, and dedication as a performer. Friends and fellow musicians have shared heartfelt tributes, remembering him not only for his powerful stage presence but also for the kindness, authenticity, and loyalty he brought to those around him.

For many, Jason “Manfiish” Edwards represented more than a musician. He was a friend, mentor, and creative force whose contributions helped shape Cleveland’s local music culture. Tributes continue pouring in from fans and peers who recall unforgettable performances, personal memories, and the lasting impact he made through music and friendship.

Cleveland police continue to investigate the cause of the deadly collision. Authorities have not yet determined whether speed, distraction, mechanical failure, or other factors contributed to the crash, and no charges have been announced. As the investigation continues, two families are left mourning unimaginable losses while an entire community remembers lives taken far too soon.
