Authorities identified the victim as Taniya Smith, who died following a single-vehicle crash Wednesday night along Louisiana Highway 1 near Port Allen. According to deputies, the crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes on the south side of the Intracoastal Canal Bridge.
