According to the Danville Police Department, officers were called to the site at approximately 12:30 p.m. after workers involved in the demolition reported finding a body on the property. When police arrived, they confirmed Williams was deceased at the scene.

Officials said the location, which includes 124 and 128 North Walnut Street, was part of a group of properties approved earlier this year for demolition by the Danville City Council’s Public Works Committee.
