According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Favazzo’s vehicle was stopped in the northbound lanes for unknown reasons when it was struck from behind. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities do not believe impairment played a role in the crash. Northbound lanes were temporarily closed during the investigation but have since reopened, and the incident remains under review.
Favazzo’s friends and family describe her as a “light in their lives,” a devoted wife to Vincent, and loving mother to Max and Vanessa. She worked for 15 years at Mastro’s restaurant in Scottsdale, advancing from busser to server, and was known for her warmth, dedication, and kindness.
The GoFundMe, organized by Erica Viney, aims to help the family cover funeral expenses and daily costs as they navigate this heartbreaking loss. As of Wednesday, the fundraiser had raised $6,635 toward its goal.
