The LaGrange, Georgia community is reeling after a tragic double shooting at the Cameron Crossing Apartments on Meadow Terrace that claimed the lives of 26-year-old Jakhala Moss, a mother of two, and 18-year-old Jamarcus Kennedy on Monday evening.
Investigators believe two male suspects approached the apartment complex on foot and opened fire on Moss and Kennedy before fleeing the area. Kennedy reportedly ran into Moss’ apartment in an attempt to escape the attack.
Authorities have not released the names of the suspects, and no arrests have been made. The LaGrange Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward or submit an anonymous tip through Tip411.
The incident has left family, friends, and neighbors mourning the loss of two young lives and grappling with the shock of this violent event in their community.
