Double Homicide Rocks LaGrange: 26-Year-Old Mom and 18-Year-Old Killed in Targeted Shooting

 The LaGrange, Georgia community is reeling after a tragic double shooting at the Cameron Crossing Apartments on Meadow Terrace that claimed the lives of 26-year-old Jakhala Moss, a mother of two, and 18-year-old Jamarcus Kennedy on Monday evening.

According to the LaGrange Police Department, officers responded around 5:35 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the parking lot. Moss was found unresponsive with at least one gunshot wound outside the building. Inside her apartment, officers discovered Kennedy, who had sustained a gunshot injury and collapsed before emergency responders could reach him. Both were pronounced dead at the scene despite immediate aid from police, firefighters, and medical personnel.

Investigators believe two male suspects approached the apartment complex on foot and opened fire on Moss and Kennedy before fleeing the area. Kennedy reportedly ran into Moss’ apartment in an attempt to escape the attack.

Authorities have not released the names of the suspects, and no arrests have been made. The LaGrange Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward or submit an anonymous tip through Tip411.
