Surveillance footage captured him leaving the home through the garage at around 7:15 p.m., walking eastbound and eventually moving out of view. Officers responded promptly, deploying patrol units, K-9 teams, and a drone unit to locate the young boy.
After several hours of searching, Zam was tragically discovered in a nearby body of water near SW Juliet Street and SW Hampshire Lane at approximately 9:45 p.m. Emergency responders performed CPR and transported him to a nearby hospital, but he was later pronounced dead.
