Father Tom Wall, 66, and Son Dylan Wall, 26, Killed in Tragic Brookfield House Fire on Brookdale Drive

 The quiet neighborhood of Brookdale Drive in Brookfield was shattered Saturday morning after a devastating house fire claimed the lives of a father, his adult son, and the family dog. The Brookfield Fire Department said crews were dispatched around 7:13 a.m. on Feb. 28 to the home near Brookdale Drive and Memory Lane following reports of a structure fire with possible entrapment. Despite the intense conditions, crews immediately launched search-and-rescue operations while working aggressively to contain the blaze. The fire was brought under control at approximately 7:48 a.m.

Inside the home, firefighters located two people and a dog. One victim was transported to Froedtert Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The second victim and the dog were pronounced dead at the scene. Officials confirmed that no firefighters were injured during the response, though three Brookfield police officers suffered injuries while assisting and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Family members later identified the victims as Tom Wall, 66, and his 26-year-old son, Dylan Wall. Dylan’s dog, Django, also perished in the fire.
