Tragic Crash on Route 202 Claims Life of 44-Year-Old Eric Stinson

 The Winthrop community is mourning the tragic loss of Eric Stinson, 44, of Pittston, who was struck and killed by a pickup truck on Route 202 Wednesday evening. Friends, family, and neighbors are left grappling with grief following the sudden and heartbreaking incident.

According to authorities, Stinson was hit near the Winthrop Vet Clinic by a black Dodge pickup. He was immediately transported to MaineGeneral, where he was pronounced dead, leaving loved ones and the community in shock.

The Maine State Police are actively investigating the crash, which is currently being reconstructed, with assistance from the Monmouth Police Department and the Kennebec-Somerset District Attorney’s Office.
