Sydney Jones, 31, Killed in Pikesville Head-On Crash on Old Court Road, Baltimore County Investigates

 The Pikesville community is mourning the tragic loss of 31-year-old Sydney Jones, who died in a fatal collision on Thursday morning. Baltimore County authorities report that the crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. on February 12 near the intersection of Old Court Road and Harden Lane.

According to police, Jones was driving a 2016 Nissan Rogue westbound when the vehicle crossed into the opposing lane and collided head-on with a 2018 Audi Q5 traveling eastbound. Sydney Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. A juvenile passenger in the Nissan was taken to a nearby hospital, though the severity of their injuries has not been disclosed. The driver of the Audi also suffered life-threatening injuries and remains hospitalized.

Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team is actively investigating the accident to determine its cause. Authorities have not confirmed whether factors such as speed or impairment contributed to the collision.
