The Bermuda Police Service has confirmed that 15-year-old Siena Frankson was the victim of a fatal road traffic collision that occurred around 9:46 p.m. on Saturday, February 14.
The crash happened just west of Stone Crusher Corner along Kindley Field Road in St. George’s. According to police, Siena was riding as a pillion passenger on a motorcycle operated by an 18-year-old male traveling east when the rider reportedly lost control. The motorcycle collided with nearby rocks, and she was thrown into adjacent waters.
Officers at the scene recovered Siena from the water and immediately began life-saving efforts until EMTs arrived. She was transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The motorcycle rider, described as incoherent following the crash, was also taken to the hospital. He was treated for minor injuries and subsequently discharged.
Police extended sincere condolences to Siena’s family and friends, noting that a Family Liaison Officer is providing ongoing support to her loved ones during this difficult time. Authorities confirmed that this marks the third fatal road traffic collision in Bermuda this year.
The investigation remains active, and police are urging anyone with information who has not yet come forward to contact Acting Sergeant Ralshon Douglas as inquiries continue.
