Authorities have since identified the Sarasota victims as Olga Greinert, 49; Florita Stolyar, 66; Anatoly Ioffe, 61; and Yaroslav Blyudoy, 39.
The suspect, 51-year-old Russell Kot, was discovered dead inside the Sarasota residence from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigators were able to connect the two incidents after surveillance footage showed Kot’s vehicle traveling through Punta Gorda, linking the Fort Lauderdale and Sarasota locations. Law enforcement officials have confirmed that Kot had previously been in a romantic relationship with one of the Fort Lauderdale victims, though the full motive behind the killings remains under investigation.
