Seattle Woman Lilliana Moreno Killed in Capitol Hill Pedestrian Crash; GoFundMe Raises $26K

According to the Seattle Police Department, Moreno was pinned under a Toyota Prius near the intersection of Bellevue Avenue East and East Pine Street around 8 p.m. Emergency crews from the Seattle Fire Department extricated her and attempted life-saving measures, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed her identity.

Police reported that the male driver was turning right from westbound Bellevue Avenue East onto East Pine Street when the collision occurred. Moreno was walking on or near the crosswalk at the time. A Drug Recognition Expert evaluated the driver and found no signs of impairment; he was not arrested. Investigators also noted a post-crash altercation between the driver and one of Moreno’s companions, though details remain limited.

The Seattle Police Department’s Traffic Collision Investigation Squad processed the scene and is asking anyone with information about the crash to call 206-684-8923.
