Gig Harbor Woman Gurpreet Kaur, 42, Dies in Multi-Vehicle Purdy Crash

 The Gig Harbor community is mourning the tragic loss of 42-year-old Gurpreet Kaur, who died in a multi-vehicle crash on February 18 in Purdy, Pierce County, Washington. The impact caused Kaur to suffer multiple blunt force injuries, which were later ruled accidental by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Authorities confirmed that neither alcohol nor drugs were factors in the crash. A passenger in Kaur’s vehicle was transported to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma for treatment, while the Yukon driver was taken to St. Anthony Hospital. The Cherokee driver was unharmed. The collision caused Purdy Drive to be closed for more than four hours as emergency responders and investigators worked at the scene.
