The Summersville community is grappling with a tragic and shocking loss after three people were found dead Thursday evening in what authorities believe was a double murder-suicide.
Summersville Police Chief Brad Reed confirmed that officers were dispatched around 5 p.m. to a residence on Ashley Lane in the Tara Estates subdivision following a 911 call reporting three individuals who were unresponsive and suffering severe head trauma. Responding officers from both the Summersville Police Department and the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Office discovered all three deceased at the scene.
